In the last century, the deer population of Ireland almost joined the mighty Irish elk in extinction, but today four breeds of deer are flourishing on these shores with the fallow deer found in all four provinces. I wanted this representation to convey all the untamed nobility of an animal that is as resilient as the Irish spirit.
